Raise the cap: Help students and schools across Oklahoma

House Bill 2621 and Senate Bill 407 would raise the cap on Oklahoma’s Equal Opportunity Scholarship program, which encourages private funds to increase options for students in public schools and nontraditional schools.

The program helps parents find the education that works best for their children. It has helped children who have been bullied, children with special needs, and others who have fallen through the cracks.

Right now, the program is capped, limiting the number of students who benefit at places like Mangum Public Schools and Mission Academy, a school for teens struggling with substance abuse. Raising the cap is an investment in Oklahoma children. Please fill out the form below and click “Send” to ask your state legislators to raise the cap.

Economists at Oklahoma City University estimate this program produces a positive return that increases available funding in our state’s entire public school system.

Helping children get the best education and saving the state money is a win-win! Please fill out the form below and click “Send” to ask your lawmakers to support these bills and raise the cap.
