Raise the cap: Help students and their schools

I know it’s early, but there are three great bills we need your help with! They will be heard TODAY!

House Bill 2621, Senate Bill 407, and Senate Bill 180 would raise the cap on Oklahoma's Equal Opportunity Scholarship program, which encourages private funds to help students in public and private schools.

The program helps parents find the education that works for their children. It’s helped children who have been bullied, children with special needs, and others in need of better opportunities.

Right now, the program is capped, limiting the number of students who benefit at places like Mangum Public Schools and Positive Tomorrows, a school for homeless children. Raising the cap is an investment in Oklahoma children. Please fill out the form below and click “Send” to ask your state legislators to raise the cap.

Best of all, economists at Oklahoma City University estimate this program saves the state’s school system $2.91 for every dollar of tax credit issued for donations through the program.

Helping children get the best education and saving the state money is a win-win! Please fill out the form below and click “Send” to ask your lawmakers to support these bills and raise the cap.
